Raman is the second coach to part ways with the Liberty this offseason after the franchise\u2019s brass declined to renew former head coach Sandy Brondello\u2019s contract. Brondello <a class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_aoxits\" href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/wnba\/former-liberty-coach-sandy-brondello-torontos-expansion-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">has since accepted a job<\/a> as the Toronto Tempo\u2019s new head coach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_1mfvp8o-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_i47sjmcag\">Raman will make WNBA history as the first head coach of Indian descent. She previously made history as the first Indian-American woman to become an NBA assistant, back when she served as an assistant coach for the Grizzlies from 2020 to &#8217;24.
