The World Series marks the culmination of the baseball season, with this year’s matchup pitting two compelling narratives against one another. The Toronto Blue Jays<\/a>, who are in their first Fall Classic in 32 years, host the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> for Game 1 of the 2025 World Series on Friday night.<\/p>\n The Dodgers, having lost just one game en route to their second consecutive pennant, arrive as a dynasty in the making, fueled by the otherworldly performance of two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani<\/a>. It remains tied after five.<\/p>\n 9:55 p.m.:\u00a0To open up the bottom of the fifth, the Game 7 hero Springer gets on base for the first time tonight with a single.<\/p>\n 9:48 p.m.:\u00a0With two outs in the top of the fifth inning, the Blue Jays pull Fluharty for reliever Seranthony Dominguez.<\/p>\n Dominguez gets Smith to fly out and to the bottom of the fifth we go.<\/p>\n 9:44 p.m.:\u00a0Ohtani strikes out for the second time to open up the fifth inning.
