On Lindblad: \u201cAll the teams lost GPS for a bit for the session. We left Arvid on the lowish fuel, not to give him complications. He did a very good job, it\u2019s hard to jump in, the pace is there.\u201d<\/p>\n

On upgrades: \u201cWe have a couple of things, new bits, there\u2019s some tweaking here for car cooling and brakes.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Piastri has got quite a decent lead, but as we have seen in the last few races, the pressure has really got to him for some reason.<\/p>\n

“But Lando did not profit from it as much as he could and should have. He didn’t make the most of the situation.<\/p>\n

“But the problem is that Verstappen is getting closer and closer and Verstappen is the one that you don’t want bearing down on you. You don’t want him breathing down your neck, hot on your heels.”<\/p>\n

<\/a>Jacques Villeneuve slams \u2018very soft\u2019 McLaren racing rules with Norris and Piastri<\/p>\n

Piastri revealed that the McLaren drivers now have a \u201cclean slate\u201d<\/a> until the end of the season, after the team previously suggested Norris faced \u201crepercussions\u201d over their collision in Singapore earlier this month. <\/p>\n

Yet Piastri hitting Norris in last week\u2019s sprint in Austin<\/a> has balanced out the driver preference with five races to go of the 2025 season. Piastri\u2019s lead is 14 points over Norris and 40 points ahead of Red Bull\u2019s Max Verstappen. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to try and win races until the end of the season. We had a good run and we also know as a team that it needs to be perfect to have a chance. So, if it works, then great, unbelievable comeback.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, I\u2019ve won championships very late, very early. Now, this one, of course, is very different because I think for most of the season it was a lot harder for us.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Oscar Piastri says Max Verstappen\u2019s world title challenge is a \u2018bit of a surprise\u2019<\/p>\n

Asked if he believed after Zandvoort that his title fight was only with Norris, Piastri said: \u201cI think probably yes but everyone did. The run of form that he (Verstappen) has had since Monza has been a bit of a surprise. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere were flashes of that performance early in the season but also pretty big dips. He has come to the fight quicker than I expected.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe gap has shrunk a bit in the last few races but the focus has always been on going as fast as I can.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d rather have the lead than being in any other spot. There is no benefit for me in worrying about that or focusing on that.\u201d<\/p>\n
