{"id":240098,"date":"2025-10-25T22:25:08","date_gmt":"2025-10-25T22:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/240098\/"},"modified":"2025-10-25T22:25:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-25T22:25:08","slug":"dodgers-tab-glasnow-to-start-game-3-of-world-series-ohtani-in-game-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/240098\/","title":{"rendered":"Dodgers tab Glasnow to start Game 3 of World Series, Ohtani in Game 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Staring down a gauntlet, the Toronto Blue Jays got an idea of what their opponents may look like when the World Series shifts to Los Angeles. <\/p>\n<p>The Dodgers will turn to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/tyler-glasnow\/81125861-72f8-461c-b7c2-46fc460a7115\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"81125861-72f8-461c-b7c2-46fc460a7115\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Tyler Glasnow<\/a> in Monday&#8217;s Game 3 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/baseball\/mlb\/players\/shohei-ohtani\/80de60c9-74e3-4a50-b128-b3dc7456a254\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"80de60c9-74e3-4a50-b128-b3dc7456a254\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Shohei Ohtani<\/a> in Tuesday&#8217;s Game 4 for the first two games at Chavez Ravine, manager Dave Roberts announced Saturday ahead of Game 2 in Toronto. <\/p>\n<p>Facing off against the Dodgers starters will be Max Scherzer in Game 3 and Shane Bieber in Game 4. <\/p>\n<p>Glasnow has been near untouchable so far in the post-season, pitching to a 0.68 ERA in 13.1 innings of work over three appearances (two starts). He has 18 strikeouts and only one earned run to his name. <\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/MLBonSN25_WS_ALWAYSON_OO_1280x720-640x360.gif\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Watch the Blue Jays in the World Series on Sportsnet\"\/>Watch the Blue Jays in the World Series on Sportsnet<\/p>\n<p>The Toronto Blue Jays look to take a 2-0 lead as they chase their first World Series title in 32 years against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Watch Game 2 on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET \/ 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Broadcast schedule<\/a><\/p>\n<p>His last appearance came in Game 3 of the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers. He gave up one run in 5.2 innings with eight strikeouts, three walks and three hits before the Dodgers eventually walked away with a 3-1 win. <\/p>\n<p>He has also appeared out of the bullpen for the Dodgers this fall, pitching 1.2 innings of relief in a 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 1 of the NLDS. <\/p>\n<p>The one-time All-Star has impressed in his second year in Los Angeles despite dealing with injuries over the season. He put up a 3.19 ERA and a 1.096 WHIP with 106 strikeouts in 18 appearances in the regular season. <\/p>\n<p>Ohtani, meanwhile, last appeared on the mound in a mammoth NLCS Game 4 performance for the three-time MVP.
