In a place as vast as Canada, you could spend your entire life travelling only within its borders and still never truly feel as if you know your own country.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why The Globe and Mail launched the Underexposed photojournalism series<\/a> dedicated to telling the unseen stories of our massive, varied nation, from coast to coast to coast. For nearly a year, we have been trying to bring a clearer portrait of Canada into focus<\/a>, using photography\u2019s unique ability to create empathy between subjects and viewers in hopes of making strangers feel more like our neighbours.<\/p>\n

In its first year, Underexposed has brought readers into New Brunswick\u2019s thriving punk scene<\/a> and Canada\u2019s military operations in a changing Arctic<\/a>, and introduced them to the people living through B.C.\u2019s overdose crisis<\/a>, the Inuit keeping their traditions alive<\/a> in the heart of Ottawa, and the star-gazers who flock to the Prairies<\/a> each year. <\/p>\n

Globe and Mail readers have responded to the series with enthusiasm, delight, gratitude, and even their own story ideas<\/a>. Now, as we head into the next year of Underexposed, we want to know what you want to know about the stories, the series and the Globe\u2019s approach to photojournalism.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Oct. 29 at at 2 p.m. ET, Globe head of visuals Liz Sullivan, photo editors Solana Cain and Theresa Suzuki, and staff photojournalist Fred Lum will be answering your questions about Underexposed in a live Q&A. <\/p>\n
