Ariana Grande<\/a> has revealed that Madonna<\/a> gave her a \u201cwarm welcome\u201d in the early days of her career.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a new interview on Evan Ross Katz\u2019s Shut Up Evan podcast, Grande reflected on the support she received from pop icons, including Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>, Mariah Carey<\/a> and Madonna when she first entered the music industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very lucky that my idols have been very kind to me\u2026 I remember Madonna immediately was very kind,\u201d she said. \u201cI think she was one of the first people to reach out and, like, give me a warm welcome, and it was just really cool. I was overwhelmed by it, because I love her so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on to mention Carey\u2019s support, as well as meeting Beyonc\u00e9 in 2013. \u201cBeyonc\u00e9 had me come visit a music video she was shooting, and I was just there in the corner,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI was like, \u2018Why am I here?\u2019 It was after I sang \u2018Tattooed Heart\u2019 on the AMAs. She invited me to set to visit her, and she just was being kind \u2014 she gave me a little bit of advice, and, you know, I asked, but she was so kind.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI feel like I had people I really looked up to embrace me. It made me feel safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Grande and Madonna have built a close relationship through the years, with Madonna even making a voice cameo in the music video for Grande\u2019s 2019 single\u00a0\u2018God Is A Woman\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The upcoming tour also follows her turning her sights over to acting lately \u2013 taking on the leading role in last year\u2019s acclaimed Wicked<\/a>\u00a0adaptation and its forthcoming sequel\u00a0Wicked: For Good<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She has rarely played live since she completed her huge 2019 tour, only making a handful of appearances at non-profit events and\u00a0award shows<\/a>. She did reassure fans, however, saying\u00a0that she wasn\u2019t \u201cabandoning\u201d music<\/a>\u00a0and was looking into a number of live shows for 2026.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0four-star review of \u2018Eternal Sunshine\u2019<\/a>, Nick Levine wrote for\u00a0NME: \u201cIt\u2019s the most sophisticated project yet from a preternaturally talented vocalist who keeps getting better. Whatever you take away from it, \u2018Eternal Sunshine\u2019 definitely isn\u2019t an album you\u2019ll want to wipe from memory.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Madonna, earlier this year she\u00a0announced her return to Warner Records with a new dance album, \u2018Confessions On A Dance Floor Part 2\u2019, scheduled for 2026.\u00a0<\/a>It comes almost two decades after the pop icon departed the label, with which she was signed for the first 25 years of her career.<\/p>\n

She also recently announced the release of a special \u2018Bedtime Stories\u2019 30th anniversary EP with early demos and rarities<\/a>.<\/p>\n
