Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/a> The Life of a Showgirl is steady at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week. The full-length, one of the most highly anticipated in recent memory, launched in first place last frame and may continue to rule for a long time. <\/p>\n After opening with the largest debut of all time, it\u2019s no surprise that The Life of a Showgirl refuses to give up its control over the throne, and as it holds, Swift matches Playboi Carti and Morgan Wallen with just the third set to spend its first two frames on the Billboard 200 at No. 1.<\/p>\n Playboi Carti Started This 2025 Trend<\/p>\n Carti was the first artist to manage the feat when he dropped his album Music this past spring. Fans had been waiting years for the project, and it opened with just under 300,000 equivalent units. Then I\u2019m the Problem returned to the peak position for another four weeks in a row, bringing its total thus far to an even dozen turns atop the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n Taylor Swift Leads the Billboard 200 for a Second Week<\/p>\n Swift\u2019s new album is just the third to spend its first two weeks atop the Billboard 200, but there are several other bestsellers and strong streamers that have led the charge for more than one frame in 2025. Bad Bunny\u2019s Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos has spent four nonconsecutive turns ruling. SZA\u2019s SOS \u2013 originally released back in 2022 \u2013 has racked up another three stays in the penthouse in 2025 alone. The set is unmoved thanks to more than 338,000 equivalent units<\/a> shifted. That is a far cry from the four million it debuted with<\/a>, but even a 90-plus percent drop in total consumption didn\u2019t give any other project a chance. <\/p>\n The No. 2 album in America this week, the KPop Demon Hunter soundtrack, shifted 104,000 equivalent units \u2014 less than one-third of what The Life of a Showgirl earned up during the same timeframe.<\/p>\n Taylor Swift Rules Four Billboard Charts Simultaneously<\/p>\n The Life of a Showgirl is steady at No. 1 on all four Billboard charts it debuted atop last week. In addition to the Billboard 200, the project also commands the Top Album Sales, Top Streaming Albums, and Vinyl Albums lists. It will likely dominate all four for several more weeks, and Swift could remain in charge of some of the most competitive tallies for months based on her history.<\/p>\n Taylor Swift\u2019s Other Charting Albums Fall Together<\/p>\n As The Life of a Showgirl earns another stay at No. 1, Swift\u2019s 10 other albums that appear on at least one Billboard chart uniformly decline from where they landed a short time ago. As is often the case whenever Swift delivers a new full-length, many of her past projects that continue to chart see sales and streams skyrocket, and thus they climb whatever roster they appear on the following frame.
