Even after Farooq Shaikh\u2019s untimely passing in 2013, Satish Shah often fondly remembered his dear friend through social media posts, keeping their friendship alive in spirit.<\/p>\n<p>A nostalgic  memory by Satish Shah  from 1986<\/p>\n<p>Among the many cherished moments he shared, late veteran actor Satish Shah once posted a heartfelt throwback picture with Farooq Shaikh on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. The image, captioned \u201cWith a dear friend in 1986,\u201d reflected the warmth and camaraderie that defined their relationship, both on and off the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Remembering Farooq Shaikh with fondness<\/p>\n<p>In an earlier interaction with CNN News18, the Satish Shah had opened up about his bond with Farooq, saying,\u201cI miss my friend Farooq even today. We had been together since 1970\u201371, and suddenly he left us. He couldn\u2019t control his laughter even on stage. There were so many instances where he would just burst out laughing. He would turn back, but his shoulders would still be shaking, everyone could see he was still laughing. He was a fine actor, and we shared some wonderful memories together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Satish Shah&#8217;s death<\/p>\n<p>Over a career of more than forty years, Satish Shah became a household name in Indian cinema and television through his memorable roles. He achieved cult status with his iconic performance in the 1983 film &#8216;Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro&#8217;. He also starred in films such as Shakti, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Fanaa, &#8216;Om Shanti Om&#8217; and others. On television, Shah\u2019s role as Indravadan Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is remembered as one of Indian TV\u2019s most iconic comic performances. He breathed his last yesterday, October 25, 2025 due to kidney failure.
