All I know is this: I have no regrets. About the way I carried myself as a teammate & leader day in and day out. About how I worked everyday to get better. About how I treated everyone around me,” the message on Instagram read.

”I never cheated the process and laid it on the line every single time I stepped on the field. I’m not sure what the future looks like, but I’m confident there’s better things waiting for me on the other side of this recovery. I hope that my journey and mindset can inspire others to persevere through adversity just like I have done, and will continue to do. Thank you, as always, for all the support and everyone that reached out, it means more than you know.”

Streveler was seen on crutches in the Winnipeg’s locker room following the game.

Chris Streveler was on crutches in Winnipeg’s locker room postgame, though he wasn’t wearing any type of brace or boot.

The injury is to his left leg — the same side where he tore three of the four major ligaments in his knee last year.#Bombers | #ForTheW | #Winnipeg | #CFL

— John Hodge (@JohnDHodge) October 25, 2025

The 30-year-old was forced to leave the 19-10 win over the visiting Montreal Alouettes in the first quarter after suffering a lower-body injury.

With the injury followed by Sunday’s social media post, Streveler‘s status for Saturday’s East Division Semifinal in Montreal is very much in doubt.

If Streveler can’t play, regular starter Zach Collaros will be backed up by Terry Wilson, who was behind centre for the Bombers after Streveler’s exit on Saturday.

Streveler attempted to escape the pocket with the Bombers backed up on their own 19-yard line, and appeared to tweak something in his leg while cutting back inside on an incoming tackle from Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund. He immediately went down and was seen clutching his left knee while Winnipeg’s training staff came onto the field.

Streveler did not put any weight on his left leg while being helped to the sideline.

Streveler also tore three major ligaments in his left knee during the 2024 Banjo Bowl.

Streveler got the start for the Blue Bombers in place of Collaros, who did not dress for Saturday’s game alongside a number of Winnipeg starters being rested by head coach Mike O’Shea in the regular season finale.

A native of Crystal Lake, Ill., Streveler completed one pass for 13 yards before departing.

The CFL veteran has dressed in 18 games for the Blue Bombers this season, throwing for 1,103 yards yards with six touchdowns and 11 interceptions, also adding 301 yards and nine scores on the ground.

Streveler joined the Blue Bombers in 2018, helping the franchise win the Grey Cup in 2019 before making a run at the NFL with stints on the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets over the next few seasons.

Streveler retuned to the Blue Bombers in 2024.

The Blue Bombers finished the 2025 regular season with a 10-8 record, good enough for fourth place in the West Division and will serve as the cross-over team in the CFL Playoffs.

Winnipeg has played in the last five Grey Cups.

With the CFL playoffs starting next weekend, Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Chris Streveler released a statement on Sunday…

[437
712,49,48,521,522,520,82,75056
0":"post-241570","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-cfl","8":"tag-apple-news","9":"tag-ca","10":"tag-canada","11":"tag-canadian-football-league","12":"tag-canadianfootballleague","13":"tag-cfl","14":"tag-sports","15":"tag-winnipeg-blue-bombers-sports-football-team-team-genius-sports-110380
["GET
