A trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs involving a 24-year-old forward would, in fact, be easy to make right now.<\/p>\n
It’s relatively common to see a team clearly put a player on the trade market, but it’s much rarer to see multiple sources confirm that a team is actively and aggressively trying to trade a player.<\/p>\n
There are roughly three levels of trade likelihood when a player is on the market:<\/p>\n
1. The team is simply listening to offers for the player.<\/p>\n
2. The team has officially put the player on the trade block.<\/p>\n
3. The team is actively trying to trade the player.<\/p>\n
In the case of Nick Robertson with the Toronto Maple Leafs, we’re at level three.<\/p>\n
I’m not sure if he’s a player that would interest Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, but it’s worth noting that he would be easy to acquire.<\/p>\n
