The 23-year-old was selected as first overall draft pick by the Indiana Fever<\/a> following her record-breaking college career and soon made her mark in the pro ranks, both on and off the court.<\/p>\n During her time at the Iowa Hawkeyes, Clark<\/a> became NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, leading the Indiana Fever to select her first in the draft. She swiftly adapted to the WNBA<\/a>, winning Rookie of the Year, though injuries hampered her impact during her second season in Indiana.<\/p>\n The \u2018Caitlin Clark effect\u2019 was a term first coined to describe the rising popularity of women\u2019s basketball during her college career.
