Chris Streveler took to social media after suffering what appeared to be a serious injury to his left leg in Saturday\u2019s win over the Montreal Alouettes.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeen trying to wrap my mind around what happened yesterday and the road ahead. All I know is this: I have no regrets. About the way I carried myself as a teammate and leader day in and day out. About how I worked every day to get better. About how I treated everyone around me. I never cheated the process and laid it on the line every single time I stepped on the field,\u201d wrote Streveler on his Instagram page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure what the future looks like, but I\u2019m confident there\u2019s better things waiting for me on the other side of this recovery. I hope that my journey and mindset can inspire others to persevere through adversity just like I have done and will continue to do. Thank you, as always, for all the support and everyone that reached out, it means more than you know.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old completed one-of-two pass attempts for 13 yards before going down with what looked like a non-contact injury early in the first quarter. It appeared as though Streveler\u2019s leg crumpled under him as he tried to evade Montreal defensive lineman Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund with the play resulting in no gain.<\/p>\n

According to 3DownNation reporter John Hodge, Streveler was on crutches in Winnipeg\u2019s locker room postgame. He appeared to be favouring his left leg, though there was no visible brace or cast of any kind.<\/p>\n

Streveler suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and partially torn PCL during last year\u2019s Banjo Bowl, though he was fully healthy for the start of the 2025 season thanks to his relentless rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

Winnipeg head coach Mike O\u2019Shea offered support for the injured passer, complimenting his toughness, grit, and willingness to work back from injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d never bet against that guy. He\u2019s tough, so we\u2019ll see,\u201d said O\u2019Shea. \u201cIt\u2019s a tough game. It can be cruel sometimes, but I\u2019ll never doubt (Streveler\u2019s) resolve, his determination. We\u2019ll see where this goes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Streveler started five games for the Blue Bombers this season, completing 63.7 percent of his passes for 1,103 yards, six touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He also ran the ball 68 times for 301 yards and nine scores.<\/p>\n

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (10-8) will visit the Montreal Alouettes (10-8) in the East Semi-Final at Percival Molson Stadium on Saturday, November 1 with kickoff slated for 2:00 p.m. EDT. The two teams met at Princess Auto Stadium in the final week of the regular season as the Blue Bombers came away with a 19-10 victory<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The weather forecast in Montreal calls for a high of 8 degrees with rain. The game will be broadcast on TSN, RDS, and CTV in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune-in on 680 CJOB in Winnipeg and TSN 690 in Montreal.<\/p>\n
