<\/p>\n SYRACUSE, N.Y. \u2013 After a brief break from conference play, the Stonehill men’s soccer team returned to NEC action battling Le Moyne to a 0-0 tie on Sunday afternoon. \u00a0

\nSTONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS <\/p>\n
\n\tJunior goalkeeper Kyle Tencza<\/a> made his first start of season, registering four saves.
\n\tSeniors Shane Fonseca<\/a> and Owen Burke<\/a> each recorded three shots on net.
\n\tThe Skyhawks outshot the Dolphins, 10-1 in the first half. They finished the day out shooting Le Moyne 19-7.

\nHOW IT HAPPENED
\nThe Skyhawks looked to strike first in the opening minutes, earning a corner kick in the 6th minute but Le Moyne goalkeeper Wyatt Dupell snagged it out of the air. Making his first start of the season junior Kyle Tencza<\/a> was equally impressive at the other end of the field keeping the game scoreless, rejecting a pair of corner kicks by the Dolphins.

\nWhile the Skyhawk defense held firm, the Stonehill kept the pressure on the Dolphins offensively. \u00a0The Skyhawks outshot the Dolphins 10-1 in the first half but two teams carried the 0-0 game into the break.

\nStonehill carried its offensive momentum into the second half. From the top of the box, senior Owen Burke<\/a> fired a shot towards the left side post but the Dolphin goalkeeper came up with the diving save.

\nDown the stretch Tencza came up stoic with outstanding acrobatic saves in the final 20 minutes. Le Moyne’s Cameron Stuart fired a shot towards net, but Tencza came up with a gigantic kick save. Minutes later, Tencza came up with his second acrobatic save of the day as the two teams battled to the tie to pick up a point in the standings.

\nStonehill returns to the pitch on Thursday, October 30 when they host Saint Francis University on Skyhawk Field at 3 p.m.
