JoJo Siwa<\/a> is giving fans a candid look at a sweet conversation with boyfriend Chris Hughes.<\/p>\n

In a video shared to her social media accounts on Thursday, July 24, the 22-year-old musician could be seen crying after Hughes, 32, compliments her on having a “really good hairline” \u2014 something Siwa says was the “number one thing” people used to leave negative comments about on her social media pages.<\/p>\n

“I’m drying my hair right now, and he goes, ‘You have a really good hairline.’ That’s the number one thing I was bullied for as a child,” Siwa says in the clip, wiping away her tears.<\/p>\n

The Love Island alum then offers Siwa a tissue before embracing her and telling her: “I love you. You have a really good hairline, it\u2019s got so much hair.”<\/p>\n

“He had no idea of the 2017-2020 hairline memes that I\u2019m not affected by on the daily anymore, but him saying this out of thin air literally finished healing a part of me,” the musician captioned her post.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s almost like I had a bandaid over it for the last eight years and just was leaving it there scared to look under it to see if it’s healed, and he removed it, being like, ‘Why do you have this on?’ before I could even explain what it was,” she shared. “Lucky lucky girl I am. Don\u2019t even think I realize how lucky sometimes.\ud83e\udd0d\ud83e\udd7a\u2728”<\/p>\n

Siwa has been candid in the past about her struggles with her hair \u2014 especially amid rumors that she was dealing with hair loss from wearing a ponytail, which she denied back in 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the time, the Dance Moms alum said that she dealt with a “stress rash” that caused her to pick at her head.<\/p>\n

“It’s actually not from the ponytails, because if it was from my ponytails \u2014 considering it went on this side \u2014 it would be this,” she said on TikTok in July 2022. “When I was little, I had a really bad stress rash right here on\u00a0Dance Moms,\u00a0and I would pick at it all day long…I damaged every single hair follicle that has ever been right there.”<\/p>\n

Siwa has not been afraid to get experimental with her hairstyles. Earlier this year, she debuted a new hairstyle at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles by rocking a shaved mohawk look.<\/p>\n

At the March event, she showed off how she had shaved both sides of her head, and one side was dyed in rainbow colors to match the Pride flag, while the other was light blue, pink and white to match the transgender flag. The white segment was encrusted with jewels to add extra sparkle.<\/p>\n

As for Siwa and Hughes, the pair met during\u00a0Celebrity Big Brother UK<\/a>‘s 24th season in April, sparking romance rumors and maintaining in interviews at the time that they were\u00a0just friends<\/a>. Around the time, they both also denied\u00a0her breakup from her ex Kath Ebbs<\/a>\u00a0was a result of their connection.<\/p>\n

Siwa later confirmed that their relationship was no longer platonic in an interview with\u00a0The Guardian<\/a>\u00a0on June 2. \u201cIt\u2019s not platonic anymore, and it\u2019s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I\u2019m absolutely head over heels for him and he\u2019s the same way,\u201d Siwa told the outlet.<\/p>\n
