\t\t\t\t\tIn the past few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens have indeed issued an official statement to announce a nice little piece of news involving Patrik Laine<\/a>.<\/p>\n He suffered a sports hernia and underwent surgery specifically for that reason.<\/p>\n An official statement from the Montreal Canadiens involving Patrik Laine today<\/p>\n We’ve talked a lot about it this summer – Laine worked extremely hard over the past few months to get closer to Montreal.<\/p>\n He spent the entire summer in Montreal, participated in practices in Brossard, and really got involved in the community. And speaking of his community involvement (his and that of his wonderful wife), he just received some good news!<\/p>\n “Some good news to start the week!<\/p>\n The Conseil du sport de Montr\u00e9al has named Patrik Laine and his wife Jordan finalists for the Sports Personality of the Year award.”<\/p>\n – Official statement from the Montreal Canadiens<\/p>\n It’s well deserved for Laine and his wife!<\/p>\n Here’s another interesting excerpt from the Canadiens’ press release on the matter:<\/p>\n “We’re so honored to be nominated for Sports Personality of the Year, especially for our work in mental health,” said Jordan Laine.<\/p>\n “To be recognized alongside such inspiring names in this community means the world to us.
