{"id":243925,"date":"2025-10-27T17:57:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T17:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/243925\/"},"modified":"2025-10-27T17:57:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T17:57:09","slug":"u-s-will-require-all-travellers-to-have-photo-taken-at-land-borders-airports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/243925\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. will require all travellers to have photo taken at land borders, airports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Homeland Security is amending policies to require all non-citizens, including Canadians, to be photographed at all ports of entry and departure in United States.<\/p>\n<p>The changing security regulations, posted in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/FR-2025-10-27\/pdf\/2025-19655.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">federal register<\/a> today, are set to come into force on Dec. 26, although it could take years to be fully implemented.<\/p>\n<p>The posting says the change is necessary for national security and to ensure people are not overstaying their visas.
