The Dallas Mavericks\u00a0<\/a>(1-2) are looking to get to .500 against the reigning NBA Champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder (3-0).<\/p>\n

The Mavs are coming off a Sunday night 139-129 win over the Toronto Raptors. It was Dallas’ first win of the season<\/p>\n

Two words to watch for in Monday’s matchup: foul trouble. Reigning MVP and OKC point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is notorious for using opponents’ size against them and drawing fouls. Gilgeous-Alexander has taken 44 combined free throws in the Thunder’s first three games of the season.<\/p>\n

Jalen Williams, who was part of the “big three” that brought the Larry O’Brien trophy to Oklahoma last year, also remains out, recovering from an offseason wrist surgery.<\/p>\n
