Check your pantry, Canada, because the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for a soup brand mix due to the \u201cpresence of insects.\u201d<\/p>\n
The recall notice, which was issued Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, is for Mitchell\u2019s Soup Co. brand of Curried Chickpea Stew Mix.<\/p>\n
According to the notice, the affected product has a best-before date of September 2026.<\/p>\n
CFIA has categorized the waffle recall as a Class 3<\/a>, which means \u201cthere is a low risk that consuming the food may result in any undesirable health problems.\u201d However, CFIA is advising people not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.<\/p>\n In other recall news, a popular Dollarama snack was recently recalled due to mold<\/a>. <\/p>\n Earlier this year,\u00a0recalled salami in Canada caused nearly 100 cases of salmonella<\/a>.<\/p>\n Over\u00a0100 Canadians also became sick due to a salmonella outbreak tied to pistachio products<\/a>\u00a0between March and September.<\/p>\n Costco recalled its 5 kg bag of Kirkland Signature Traditional Basmati Rice due to the \u201cpossible presence of insects<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
