Many actors feel a sense of discomfort when they look back at their early work, realizing how much they\u2019ve changed over time. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of them. As she completes 15 years in films, the actress spoke in a recent interview with Deccan Chronicle about her early struggles and growth in the industry.<\/p>\n
Samantha said her first few years in cinema were not easy. \u201cIn the beginning, most of the glamorous characters didn\u2019t feel like me. I was trying too hard to be like my peers, to look like them, act like them, dance like them. Looking back, those performances feel absolutely ridiculous,\u201d she admitted. She added that she often struggled to fit into such roles at the time.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on her journey, Samantha said these years have shaped her both personally and professionally. \u201cFifteen years is a long time. Parts of it feel like forever, and parts like a blur. There are films I watch now and can\u2019t believe how badly I acted, but that was my only way to learn,\u201d she said, recalling how she learned everything on her own without any mentors or industry connections.<\/p>\n
The actress also shared how her outlook has changed. \u201cI\u2019m not going to discount any of the highs or lows. But I\u2019m even more excited for the next fifteen years. I feel more grounded now and confident in who I am,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Samantha mentioned that she is currently balancing several things, including her acting, business and other ventures, and that it feels easier than before. \u201cDoing just one thing, acting, for the last fifteen years felt far more stressful than managing the fifteen different things I\u2019m doing today,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
On the professional front, Samantha recently appeared in a cameo role in Subham. Her upcoming projects include Maa Inti Bangaram, which begins shooting on Monday and Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.<\/p>\n
