It\u2019s all in the family for Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a> this season \u2014 two of his brothers are his teammates!\n<\/p>\n As the 30-year-old Milwaukee Bucks star enters his 13th year in the NBA, he\u2019ll do so with older brother Thanasis, 32, and younger brother Alex, 24, by his side.\n<\/p>\n After Alex was signed to a two-way contract earlier this month, it marked the first time in NBA history that three brothers played on the same team, according to ESPN<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n Thanasis played for the Bucks from 2019-2024 \u2014 and won an NBA championship with Giannis in 2021 \u2014 before sitting out last season with a torn Achilles. He re-signed with the franchise for a one-year deal in August.\n<\/p>\n The reunion comes at a time when Giannis has been the subject of trade rumors.\n<\/p>\n Alex, Thanasis and Giannis Antetokounmpo.<\/p>\n Jennifer Pottheiser\/NBAE via Getty<\/p>\n ESPN reported<\/a> that the Knicks were talking to the Bucks about acquiring the two-time NBA MVP over the offseason, but the deal fizzled.\n<\/p>\n Instead, the nine-time All-Star looks to be settling into a new chapter with the Bucks, and he told reporters on the eve of the season that the team is an under-the-radar contender.\n<\/p>\n “We’re not the favorites, but we’re going to be a problem,\u201d he said. \u201cWe’re going to be dangerous. The team is set up in a way that is very, very dangerous. We have a lot of shooting. We have a lot of playmakers and ball handlers. We have a lot of defenders.\u201d\n<\/p>\n He added, \u201cWe are set up exactly how you need to set up to make a statement.”\n<\/p>\n As for his plans after the NBA, Giannis also recently made a statement about that.\n<\/p>\n During an interview with ANT1’s The 2night Show<\/a> on Tuesday, Oct. 14, the Bucks star said that he’d like to cap his pro career by playing for a Greek basketball team.\n<\/p>\n
