Amritsar and Patiala districts came out victorious in the boys\u2019 sections in lawn tennis (team event) during the 69th Punjab State Inter-District School Games being organised by the Punjab Education Department at Jassowal Kular village near here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
At Harvest Tennis Academy courts, in the boys\u2019 U-14 category, Patiala got the better of hosts Ludhiana 2-0 to emerge as champions while Bathinda finished as the second runners-up and Jalandhar had to content with the fourth position.<\/p>\n
In the boys U-17 section, Amritsar faced some anxious moments before coming out triumphant 2-1 against Ropar and bagged the top position. Jalandhar and Patiala secured third and fourth positions, respectively.<\/p>\n
However, in the U-19 group, Amritsar recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory against Ludhiana to lay their hands on the winners\u2019 trophy while Bathinda and Jalandhar boys bagged the third and fourth positions, respectively.<\/p>\n
