The New England Patriots reportedly are moving on from one of their pass rushers ahead of the NFL trade deadline. <\/p>\n
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero<\/a>, the Patriots are sending Keion White and a 2026 seventh-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.<\/p>\n NFL insider Jordan Schultz<\/a> also reported the 49ers are signing defensive end Clelin Ferrell to their practice squad for more pass-rush help.<\/p>\n White was a second-round pick in 2023 and showed signs of promise in Year 2, recording 56 tackles, seven tackles for loss and five sacks for the Patriots, but things have stalled in his third campaign. <\/p>\n He’s appeared in five games this season, picking up just six tackles. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport<\/a> noted that the Patriots recently made White inactive as they looked to trade him before next week’s deadline. <\/p>\n White spends time both on the edge and in the interior defensive line, but he hasn’t done much of either this year, playing behind K’Lavon Chaisson\u00a0and\u00a0Harold Landry III\u00a0at edge, and\u00a0Milton Williams\u00a0and\u00a0Khyiris Tonga\u00a0at defensive tackle. <\/p>\n
