George Springer<\/a> will not be in the starting lineup for Game 4 of the World Series as the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> aim to even things up against the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Outfielder Nathan Lukes<\/a> will hit lead-off in Springer\u2019s place, while Bo Bichette<\/a> will serve as the designated hitter and bat third, with slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr.<\/a> moving up to second in the order.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old Springer left Monday\u2019s Game 3 in the seventh inning with a right side injury. He took a swing against Dodgers\u2019 left-hander Justin Wrobleski<\/a> and immediately called the training staff out, departing the game shortly after.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeorge, it\u2019s some right side discomfort,\u201d Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Toronto\u2019s 18-inning loss. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe already went for a MRI. We\u2019ll see how it comes back and see how he walks up [Tuesday], but it sucks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schneider described Springer as \u201cday-to-day\u201d and \u201chour-to-hour\u201d when talking to reporters on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Shane Bieber<\/a> will get the ball for Toronto Tuesday night against Shohei Ohtani<\/a>, coming off his 4-for-4 game with two home runs, two doubles and five walks. <\/p>\n

The Jays trail 2-1 in the best-of-seven series with Game 5 set to go Wednesday night from Dodger Stadium.
