\n\tLily Allen<\/a> isn\u2019t necessarily looking for revenge with her new studio album, West End Girl.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer-actress previously said the album was inspired by her marriage to David Harbour<\/a>, which reportedly ended earlier this year. But she was recently asked by Mel Ottenberg for Interview Magazine<\/a>, \u201cSo should we call it a revenge tour?\u201d referring to her current press tour for the record.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt isn\u2019t,\u201d Allen responded. \u201cI mean, I wrote this record in 10 days in December and I feel very differently about the whole situation now. We all go through breakups and it\u2019s always fucking brutal. But I don\u2019t think it\u2019s that often that you feel inclined to write about it while you\u2019re in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cSmile\u201d singer added, \u201cThat\u2019s what\u2019s fun about this record; it\u2019s viscerally like going through the motions. At the time, I was really trying to process things and that\u2019s great in terms of the album, but I don\u2019t feel confused or angry now. I don\u2019t need revenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Stranger Things star and Allen reportedly separated after four years of marriage in February. They had tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAllen also noted to Ottenberg that the story she tells with West End Girl is partly \u201cbased on truth and some of it is fantasy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this month, \u201cThe Fear\u201d artist also chatted with British Vogue<\/a> about the inspiration for her fifth studio album, which dropped on Oct. 24.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere are things that are on the record that I experienced within my marriage, but that\u2019s not to say that it\u2019s all gospel,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cIt is inspired by what went on in the relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere during her conversation with Ottenberg, Allen was asked if she was currently dating anyone. She replied, \u201cMaybe.\u201d She also opened up about what it\u2019s like dating in the dating app era.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThey\u2019re awful, especially if you\u2019re going through heartbreak,\u201d she shared. \u201cThere is nothing more depressing than hundreds of people that are nothing like the person that you\u2019re missing. It\u2019s just like, \u201cNo, that\u2019s not him. That\u2019s not him.
