Ryan Wohl previews Thursday\u2019s upcoming Dirty Boxing event headlined by Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson. <\/p>\n
One of the newest and fastest-rising combat sports organizations, Dirty Boxing, is hosting its fourth event on Thursday, October 30, at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee. The first three Dirty Boxing events took place in Miami, Florida. <\/p>\n
The face of the company and one of its owners is Mike Perry, a former UFC fighter and current BKFC King of Violence Champion. Malki Kawa, CEO of First Round Management, is one of the best managers in MMA and has joined Perry to form Dirty Boxing. MMA legends Jon Jones, Demetrious Johnson, and Yoel Romero are ambassadors for the promotion alongside former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr.<\/p>\n
In Dirty Boxing, they have a unique ruleset that hasn\u2019t been seen before. Fighters wear small gloves, compete in a small ring, and are allowed to use elbows, fists, and palms while being able to finish an opponent with ground and pound punches. <\/p>\n
Gable Steveson, 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist, two-time NCAA Division 1 Champion, and four-time Big Ten Champion, is making his debut in this promotion at Dirty Boxing 4. Steveson recently had his first MMA fight in September, defeating Braden Peterson by first-round TKO at LFA 217. But now, Steveson is taking his talents to Dirty Boxing to take on Billy Swanson. Swanson is 0-1 in Dirty Boxing and 4-4 in his career between MMA and boxing. This fight is the Main Event of Thursday\u2019s Dirty Boxing 4 card. <\/p>\n
Former UFC fighter Bryan Battle is facing Nick Kohring in the co-main event. Battle competed in the UFC from 2021 to 2024, posting a 7-1 record with one no-contest. But after he failed to make weight multiple times, the UFC released him. Since Battle left the UFC, he beat Derik de Freitas via first-round TKO at Dirty Boxing 3 in August. His opponent, Kohring, is making his Dirty Boxing debut and is 14-2 across MMA and bare-knuckle. <\/p>\n
