PLEASANT, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) \u2013 The Eastern Michigan soccer team closed its 2025 season\u00a0by falling in a 2-0 decision at Central Michigan University Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the CMU Soccer Complex.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nEastern, which had a chance to qualify for the Mid-American Conference Tournament entering Wednesday&#8217;s MAC matches, finished its season seventh in the conference standings.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nHow It Happened<br \/>\nEastern had consistent pressure in the attacking third, generating 10 shots in the first half but was unable to break through in the opening 45 minutes.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAfter the intermission, the Chippewas produced increased offensive pressure, netting goals in the 63rd and 68th minutes.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nEMU had two shots on goal in the final 22 minutes as it looked to get on the scoreboard but was unable to do so.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nGame Notes<br \/>\n\u00bb Eastern moved to 6-8-4 overall (4-4-4 MAC) while Central Michigan moved to 1-14-3 overall (1-8-3 MAC).<br \/>\n\u00bb Eastern held a 17-8 advantage in shots and CMU edged EMU in corner kicks, 3-2.<br \/>\n\u00bb With her five saves Wednesday, redshirt junior <a href=\"https:\/\/emueagles.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/ella-holland\/16815\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"16815\" target=\"_blank\">Ella Holland<\/a> (Dunwoody, Ga.\/Dunwoody\/Samford) has 263 career saves and sits seventh in program history in the category.<br \/>\n\u00bb Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/emueagles.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/sarah-van-euwen\/15427\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sarah Van Euwen<\/a> (Avon Lake, Ohio\/Avon Lake) played all 90 minutes of the match. Van Euwen has played 90 minutes in 23-straight matches, extending to the last five contests of the 2024 season.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nHistorical Notes<br \/>\n\u00bb EMU leads the all-time series, 17-8-5. Eastern had won three-straight matches at CMU prior to Wednesday&#8217;s match, EMU&#8217;s first loss in Mt.
