Steve Garcia Holds Claim As Arguably Hardest-Hitting Athlete at 145<\/p>\n
Over the past year, Steve Garcia<\/a> has managed to take himself near the top of the heap as a bona fide UFC featherweight phenom. Entering the company as a lightweight, the Jackson Wink product garnered a lackluster 1-2 organizational record, suffering losses to Luis Pena and Maheshate, being knocked out cold by the former.\u00a0<\/p>\n Making the drop back down to featherweight since his days outside the UFC in his next contest, Steve Garcia faced off with hot divisional prospect Chase Hooper, handing the Washington native his first defeat via knockout. Over the next three years, he has netted four more victories for himself, recently earning a place in the UFC\u2019s featherweight rankings with a career-defining triumph over Calvin Kattar<\/a> this past July.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Now on a warpath up the 145-lb ladder, Steve Garcia is gearing up for his first main event showcase of his UFC tenure. Following his latest defeat to Nate Landwehr in 2022, the Uganda native has rattled off four straight wins; his most notable triumph came in his most recent walk to the Octagon at UFC Fight Night: Machado Garry vs. Prates, where he bested Giga Chikadze<\/a>.<\/p>\n Taking top billing for the UFC\u2019s first November card, Steve Garcia will have all he can handle in the experienced and composed Onama.
