Inhaler<\/a> have today (October 29) released a propulsive new single \u2013 listen to \u2018Hole In The Ground\u2019 below.<\/p>\n

The song, which is the first new music to be shared by the Irish four-piece since the release of their last album, \u2018Open Wide<\/a>\u2019 in February,\u00a0was recorded with the album\u2019s producer Kid Harpoon at Abbey Road Studios.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The song is described as \u201ca yearning anthem blending melancholic hooks, layered guitars and gauzy atmospherics underpinned by a hypnotically pulsing groove,\u201d in a statement.<\/p>\n

Frontman Eli Hewson said of the song: \u201cTo us, \u2018Hole In The Ground\u2019 is a song that was born out of our stream of consciousness.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome time away from writing allowed us to go into the studio with a sort of blank slate which felt inspiring. It can be hard to talk about the meaning of your own songs sometimes but we see it as something fragile growing amongst a wreckage.<\/p>\n

\u201cOr that last blurry memory you have of a person. It\u2019s sort of a meditation on hope and keeping yourself awake to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band will next play at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London, which is scheduled for October 31 and has already sold out.<\/p>\n

The show mark the end of Inhaler\u2019s \u2018Open Wide\u2019 tour, which comes in support of their third album of the same name. The album arrived in February via Polydor Records and features songs like \u2018Your House\u2019, \u2018Billy (Yeah Yeah Yeah)\u2019 and the title track.<\/p>\n

In a four-star review of \u2018Open Wide\u2019<\/a>, Ali Shutler wrote for NME: \u201cThroughout \u2018Open Wide\u2019, Inhaler display a powerful confidence that\u2019s impossible to resist. Comforting, cathartic and heaps of fun, it\u2019s the sort of record that sounds brilliant on headphones but will really come to life, say, as the sun sets on Glastonbury<\/a>\u2019s Pyramid Stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band were also revealed as one of the acts performing alongside Paul Weller <\/a>and Primal Scream <\/a>for a new \u2018Gig For Gaza\u2019 live event in London.<\/a><\/p>\n

The event, described as a \u201cspecial night of music and solidarity\u201d, took place on Friday October 17 at the historic TROXY venue in London.
