Tyson Fury is ready to go against his father’s wishes, with the British boxing star revealing to Derek Chisora that he plans to return to the ring.<\/p>\n

Back in January, mere weeks after losing to Oleksandr Usyk for a second time, Fury stunned the world by announcing he was quitting the sport – insisting that he’d achieved everything possible.<\/p>\n

Fast-forward to now, however, and talk of the 37-year-old making a blockbuster comeback continues to gather pace.<\/p>\n

Chisora, speaking to The Sun, claims to have had a conversation with Fury about his plans. The Gypsy King, it seems, is hellbent on facing Usyk for a third time despite last year’s difficult encounters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in Monaco with Tyson, Tyson is coming back. He wants to fight Usyk. \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 is coming back, don\u2019t worry about that,” he said.<\/p>\n

Should a Fury return materialise, the Briton would risk a row with his father John.<\/p>\n

John Fury has made it clear he feels his son shouldn’t venture into the ring again, saying in a recent interview that the heavyweight star hasn’t been at his best since his trilogy fights with Deontay Wilder.<\/p>\n

Barring the two defeats to Usyk, however, Fury has an unblemished record.<\/p>\n

After beating Wilder in 2021, he returned to defend his WBC belt against Dillian Whyte – securing victory via knockout.<\/p>\n

In 2023, however, Fury struggled during a bout with Francis Ngannou.<\/p>\n

Though he won that night, the Briton was floored and came precariously close to losing the contest.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there remains the possibility that Fury could fight Anthony Joshua in a seismic showdown next year. Eddie Hearn, speaking earlier this week, threw down the gauntlet by revealing AJ was eager for the clash to happen.<\/p>\n

“It’s exactly what everybody wanted to hear,” Hearn told Sky Sports. “The thing that AJ wants more than anything, is to fight Tyson Fury.<\/p>\n

“That is the biggest fight in the sport… I’m hopeful.<\/p>\n

“The only thing that is close to that level [for Joshua] is to win the world heavyweight championship again, which is a big motivation for him.<\/p>\n

“We need to be able to plan that for AJ to make sure that he’s in the best place possible for what will be the biggest moment of his career, I believe.<\/p>\n

“If he fights this year, that will be a pure run out. It won’t be a top 15 guy. “He’s either going to have those two fights before Tyson Fury, if that can get made, or he’s going to have the one fight in February.<\/p>\n
