We got a pleasant surprise this morning live from Brossard, as a familiar face made an appearance for the Montreal Canadiens.<\/p>\n

He didn’t hit the ice, of course, but it was still great to see him around the guys.<\/p>\n

Patrik Laine Makes an Appearance Live from Brossard<\/p>\n

He truly seems to be well-liked within the Montreal Canadiens locker room, as players went out of their way to chat with him whenever they could.<\/p>\n

Here’s a clip captured by TVA Sports reporter Renaud Lavoie:<\/p>\n

Let’s not forget that Laine unfortunately underwent surgery on October 24 and will miss three to four months of action because of it.<\/p>\n

Patrik Laine, 27, who earns $8.7 million per year for one more season (this current one), has had a disappointing start to the year.<\/p>\n

In five games this season, he has zero goals and one assist, with a minus-3 rating, and it’ll be a while before he gets the chance to improve those numbers.<\/p>\n

We’re definitely thinking of him, and it’s great to see him back with his teammates in Brossard.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Quebec native Joe Veleno becomes a regular forward for Martin St-Louis’ squad and is getting a golden opportunity.<\/p>\n
