Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton<\/a> has teased future projects after the success of the F1 movie.<\/p>\n

The British driver served as an executive producer, through his production company Dawn Apollo Films, in the film directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film has grossed almost $630million at the global box office since its release in June 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The movie follows nomadic driver Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt, who returns to F1 with the struggling APXGP alongside rookie driver Joshua Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris. It was filmed during real-life F1 race weekends and features some of the current drivers. Hamilton worked to ensure the film was as realistic as possible while still being a Hollywood movie.<\/p>\n

“To have real involvement in the film and to be able to engage so fully in the process was crazy,” Hamilton told Ferrari Magazine<\/a>. “Joe [Kosinski] came to me and said, ‘I\u2019m thinking about doing this movie, I would love to get Brad Pitt.’<\/p>\n

“We didn\u2019t have him at that point. And I helped bridge some gaps and be part of it to the point where the end credits roll. I spent time in the edit and watched sections of the film on my laptop and sent notes. I met with Hans Zimmer in his amazing studio in Santa Monica. What a four years it\u2019s been, and what a privilege.”<\/p>\n

The Ferrari driver teased future projects.<\/p>\n

“We have some ideas,” he added. “I\u2019m in the process of figuring it out but storytelling is something I\u2019m really passionate about. More than ever, we need inspirational stories out there, given the dark times we live in.<\/p>\n

“I love comedy and I\u2019ve got a particular idea for a television show. I\u2019m working on a couple of animation movie ideas, and we\u2019re getting sent so much stuff since the F1 movie happened it\u2019s crazy. But it\u2019s not about doing lots and lots of projects, it\u2019s more like Quentin Tarantino does it, quality rather than quantity.”<\/p>\n
