{"id":252186,"date":"2025-10-31T11:25:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-31T11:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/252186\/"},"modified":"2025-10-31T11:25:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T11:25:15","slug":"pack-the-park-on-nov-8-love-on-us-one-more-time-please","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/252186\/","title":{"rendered":"Pack the park on Nov. 8: \u201cLove on us one more time, please\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ideally, there will be 33,000-plus versions of the beloved 13th Fan for the Saskatchewan Roughriders\u2019 final home game of a smashingly successful season.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketmaster.ca\/2025-cfl-playoffs-regina-saskatchewan\/event\/110062479CD230B8?CAMEFROM=CFC_SASKATCHEWANRR_WEB_RIDERVILLE_TICKETS\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The atmosphere and decibel level created by a sold-out crowd would be incalculably beneficial to the home side during the Western Final on Nov. 8 (5:30 p.m., Mosaic Stadium).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saskatchewan earned hosting privileges by finishing first in the West Division with a league-best 12-6 record.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe advantage of being at home, specifically in this place, is tremendous,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.riderville.com\/2025\/10\/29\/corey-mace-october-29th-2\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Head Coach Corey Mace said on Wednesday<\/a>. \u201cI know our fan base wanted it so badly and we were able to accomplish that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m unbelievably excited to see Rider Nation show up. Being on the flip side and going to somebody else\u2019s barn last year, it was tough on us as the opponent. I want that to be the exact same environment here.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s our fan base\u2019s job. That\u2019s why we built this place \u2014\u00a0to bring Rider Nation here for games like this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Roughriders are preparing for their second consecutive Western Final \u2014 and their fourth in a span of six seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The Winnipeg Blue Bombers visited Mosaic Stadium with a Grey Cup berth at stake in 2019. Saskatchewan travelled to Winnipeg for division finals in 2021 and 2024.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the Blue Bombers \u2014 a participant in the past five Grey Cup Games \u2014 finished fourth in the West and advanced to the Eastern playdowns as a crossover participant. The Blue Bombers are to face the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday, with the winner to proceed to the Eastern Final against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.<\/p>\n<p>Out West, the B.C. Lions and Calgary Stampeders will collide on Saturday in Vancouver with the common objective of playing at Mosaic Stadium one week henceforth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fans make this thing go,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.riderville.com\/2025\/10\/29\/jermarcus-hardrick-october-29th\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">right tackle Jermarcus Hardrick said<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m excited to see this place on November 8th. I\u2019m excited to see the fans. I\u2019m excited to love on \u2019em.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRider Nation has been great to us this year. Let\u2019s do it one more time. Let\u2019s be loud. Hydrate up. Love on us one more time, please.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pil Country is already sold out for the Western Final.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.riderville.com\/2025\/09\/15\/20-roughrider-tickets-to-be-available-in-co-op-community-zone\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tickets are available in the Co-op Community Zone for only $20 \u2014\u00a0all taxes and fees included<\/a>. Those seats, located in Mosaic Stadium\u2019s 600 level, are available exclusively to Co-op members at any participating location in Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the stadium, available seats start at just $33, plus tax.<\/p>\n<p>Another option is the \u201cMe + 3\u201d package, which offers four adult tickets for the price of three.<\/p>\n<p>And, as always, there is the Family Pack \u2014\u00a0two adult and two youth tickets for $99.<\/p>\n<p>TERRIFIC 10<\/p>\n<p>Entering the playoffs, the Roughriders lead the West in victories (12) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.riderville.com\/2025\/10\/29\/riders-lead-west-division-with-10-divisional-all-cfl-honourees\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">divisional All-CFL selections (10).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Three adjacent offensive linemen \u2014\u00a0Hardrick, centre Logan Ferland and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.riderville.com\/2025\/10\/29\/jacob-brammer-october-29th\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">right guard Jacob Brammer<\/a> \u2014\u00a0were recognized, along with receivers KeeSean Johnson and Dohnte Meyers, defensive tackle Micah Johnson, middle linebacker Jameer Thurman, cover linebacker C.J. Reavis, cornerback Tevaughn Campbell and defensive halfback Rolan Milligan Jr.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re proud of those guys for getting recognized,\u201d Mace said. \u201cI thought we had a pretty good season and, naturally, what comes with that are guys who stand out and make impactful plays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe acknowledged it today and showed love, but we\u2019ve just got work to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Roughriders boast a double-digit all-star count for the fourth time in franchise history. The magic number was 11 in 1966 and 1976. Ten Roughriders were previously recognized in 1967.<\/p>\n<p>HARRIS HONOURED<\/p>\n<p>Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris made Pro Football Focus\u2019s Honour Roll as the CFL\u2019s top offensive player for October.<\/p>\n<p>He also received player-of-the-month honours in July. As well, he has been named the offensive player of the week on five occasions.<\/p>\n<p>In October, Harris completed 60 of 73 passes \u2014\u00a0an 82.2-per-cent accuracy rate \u2014\u00a0for 793 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Roughriders defensive tackle Mike Rose was recognized by PFF as the top defensive player for October. He has also been the top-rated defensive lineman following two games.<\/p>\n<p>Harris (with a player grade of 91.5), Rose (90.4) and Hardrick (77.9) all led their respective positions in October.<\/p>\n<p>SAD NEWS<\/p>\n<p>Val Schneider, a key member of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies athletic program for 28 years, passed away on Thursday in Edmonton.
