<\/p>\nBrexton Busch, the 10-year-old son of two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch and his wife Samantha Busch, races 150 times a year at tracks across the country.<\/p>\n
Amid Kyle Busch\u2019s 38-stop National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing season, the youngster, who aspires to follow in his father\u2019s footsteps on the asphalt, keeps his parents busy.<\/p>\n

Brexton Busch’s goal is to eventually hold a NASCAR seat like his father.<\/p>\n
Asked if he wanted to pursue other areas of racing, he responded, \u201cAbsolutely not, I want to do NASCAR just like my dad,\u201d Samantha Busch said.<\/p>\n

Kyle Busch will be at the Nov. 2 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at the Phoenix Raceway in Arizona. Busch isn’t in contention for the title. His former racing team Joe Gibbs Racing has a chance to take the crown for the first time since Busch won in 2019.<\/p>\n
Although Kyle Busch hasn\u2019t seen a victory since 2023, Samantha Busch said her husband and son are training hard, excited about the future and the family is more united than ever.<\/p>\n

Why the Busch family embraced in vitro fertilization, podcast<\/p>\n
Infertility left Samantha Busch devastated, isolated and depressed in 2013, she said.<\/p>\n
“There was a night, and we were laying in bed together, and I\u2019m just kind of like why ‘God, why me? Why is it so hard?’\u201d Busch told the Tennessean. \u201cWhy is everybody around us getting pregnant and we can’t?\u201d<\/p>\n
At a loss, but rooted in faith, the couple turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF). In 2014, they were thrilled to learn the lab-focused method of conception worked.<\/p>\n
Samantha Busch said her focus immediately shifted to helping others on their journey. She said, although they are grateful for their financial status, others may not be so lucky.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnderstanding that bill, I mean it\u2019s around $20,000 and there\u2019s no guarantee for a baby, that\u2019s just for a chance,\u201d Samantha Busch said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe just knew that God placed it on our heart that we needed to start the Bundle of Joy Fund,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Beginning after Brexton\u2019s birth, the couple launched The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund aimed at advocating and presenting \u201cmonetary grants to in-need couples struggling with infertility,\u201d according to the website.<\/p>\n
Since the initiative was started 10 years ago, Samantha and Kyle have contributed more than $2 million dollars directly to couples resulting in 108 births, Samantha said.<\/p>\n

Samantha Busch said she is glad conversations about IVF have gone mainstream in recent years.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a conversation that you used to kind of whisper about or you didn\u2019t tell many people about it,\u201d she said. \u201cNow, it\u2019s just so amazing to see so many courageous couples out there sharing their stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

She works to add to the trend of making IVF commonplace through her podcast called, “Certified Oversharer,\u201d which covers everything from fertility and IVF to relationships and her life as a mother.<\/p>\n

Kyle Busch coaches Brexton, ‘Keep trying to be your best self during hard times’<\/p>\n
Throughout Kyle Busch’s career, he pocketed a combined 232 wins across NASCAR\u2019s top three series, Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series. But the 20-year NASCAR veteran has fallen on hard times, going winless since he won at the World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis in June 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s definitely been hard, you know, he was very fortunate to have a very huge career with lots of success, and when that takes a little dip down it\u2019s difficult,\u201d Samantha Busch said.<\/p>\n
When asked about how the support is shown from behind the scenes, Samantha Busch said their family acts as his backbone.<\/p>\n
Despite Kyle Busch\u2019s spell of losses, Samantha said Brexton is benefiting from the troubles, by learning from his dad\u2019s advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been able to watch his dad at the high of highs and the low of lows,\u201d Samantha Busch said. \u201cKyle is able to coach him [by saying], \u2018Look you\u2019re going to lose more races than you\u2019re going to win, that\u2019s just inevitable in the sport. But like here\u2019s how you can keep trying to be your best self during hard times.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle Busch is constantly working, she added, to show Brexton that racing is \u201cnot always going to be rainbows and puppies, but during the hard times you dig deeper\u201d and keep working to \u201cget that checkered flag.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brexton is a Legend Car driver, the tier that\u2019s the seventh level below NASCAR\u2019s topflight.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe always give him a choice of like \u2018Do you want to go racing or do you want to go to a friend\u2019s birthday?\u2019 for example, and he\u2019s like \u2018Mom I\u2019m going racing,\u2019\u201d Samantha Busch said.<\/p>\n
Between Kyle and Brexton, the two race nearly 190 times a year and the family is sometimes forced to divide and conquer, she said. But to limit the distance between races, they prioritize Brexton\u2019s events along the NASCAR circuit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not home a lot, but as long as we\u2019re together, we are home no matter where we are,\u201d Samantha Busch said.<\/p>\n
