NASCAR <\/a>has announced the disqualification of one of its drivers following post-race inspection in Indianapolis. <\/p>\n

\nAll three national NASCAR series are in action in the city this weekend, with the Cup and Xfinity Series taking to Indianapolis Motor Speedway, whilst the Truck Series hit Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday night<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\nHowever, after that Truck Series race on Friday, NASCAR has announced that after finishing third on the road, Stewart Friesen and the No. 52 truck have been disqualified from the race. <\/p>\n

\nIn their official race report, NASCAR confirmed: “Inspection was completed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series garage, and the No. 52 truck was disqualified for failing front-end height requirements (too low).” <\/p>\n

\nFriesen is credited with a 35th-place finish as a result of his disqualification. <\/p>\n

\nThere were no other issues in Truck Series post-race inspection. <\/p>\n

Who won the Truck Series race at Indianapolis?<\/p>\n

\nFriday night’s Truck Series race at Indianapolis Raceway Park was won by Layne Riggs in the No. 34 for Front Row Motorsports. <\/p>\n

\nIt was a dominant performance from Riggs, who swept the first two stages and led for 160 of the 200 racing laps on the way to locking up his second win of the season. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cI\u2019ll tell you, this truck was badass, man,\u201d Riggs said on pit road after his victory. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cIt was so great. I was just out front saving my tires at the end. Then I was just waiting for a late-race caution, trying to run the bottom and trying to keep the least amount of distance to keep the distance off my tires. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cIt\u2019s so great to get Clew Nicotine Pouches in Victory Lane. That\u2019s only their second race with us, and we\u2019re super excited to have them. That was a pretty cool celebration.\u201d <\/p>\n

\nRiggs finished ahead of Corey Day in the No. 7 and Friesen in the No. 52 on track, although Corey Heim was promoted to third following the No. 52’s disqualification. <\/p>\n
