Costume queen Heidi Klum<\/a> hosted her 24th annual Halloween Party at the Hard Rock Hotel New York on Friday night, a gathering notorious for bringing out the most epic celebrity getups of the spooky season.<\/p>\n Klum hit her own red carpet dressed as the Greek mythological figure Medusa alongside her husband Tom Kaulitz, who was dressed as a concrete soldier. <\/p>\n The supermodel\u2019s hand-painted costume was highlighted by green scales that extended into a rattlesnake\u2019s tail and animatronic snakes in place of her hair.<\/p>\n \u201cI wanted to explore the classic monsters of history, and reimagine one in a modern way,\u201d Klum told Vogue.<\/a> <\/p>\n \u201cMedusa stood out to me as truly iconic\u2014mysterious yet ferocious. The legend of her turning humans to stone has fascinated audiences for centuries. In museums, countless paintings and sculptures depict her haunting power, a testament to how terrifying and compelling she remains.\u201d<\/p>\n The supermodel appeared as the Greek mythology creature Medusa. Stephen Lovekin\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n Klum revealed that the entire process of hand-painting her elaborate costume took nine hours.<\/p>\n She began teasing this year\u2019s costume at the start of October, sharing various angles of an eerie mask on Instagram<\/a> and captioning the post, \u201cThis is just the beginning \ud83d\udc40\ud83d\udc7b\ud83d\udc80\ud83c\udf83 @prorenfx #HeidiHalloween.\u201d<\/p>\n Klum later shared snaps of a prosthetic backside<\/a>, writing, \u201cFeeling cheeky \ud83c\udf51\ud83d\ude1c @prorenfx #HeidiHalloween.\u201d<\/p>\n Having told Jimmy Fallon that this year\u2019s look was going to \u201cbe extra ugly\u201d and \u201csuper scary,\u201d fans were left with a month\u2019s worth of guesswork.<\/p>\n Klum also opted for full-body prosthetics last year, dressing as the female version of E.T.<\/a> alongside husband Tom Kaulitz, who morphed into a male version of the iconic alien.<\/p>\n She told Jimmy Fallon her look was going to \u201cbe extra ugly\u201d and \u201csuper scary.\u201d<\/p>\n She posted snapshots getting ready throughout the day.<\/p>\n
