The Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> seemed to be in control of Game 6, with all signs pointing to a Game 7 on Saturday \u2014 but that was before the ninth inning brought some serious goosebumps. The Toronto Blue Jays refused to go down without a fight.<\/a><\/p>\n

An Alejandro Kirk hit-by-pitch put a man on first base, with the speedy Myles Straw brought in as a pinch-runner. Then Addison Barger stepped to the plate, and all hell broke loose,\u201d FanSided\u2019s Chris Landers wrote.<\/p>\n

Barger sent a line drive straight to the outfield wall. The ball became partially lodged at the bottom, and Dodgers center fielder Justin Dean immediately threw his hands up. The umpires ruled it a ground-rule double. SI\u2019s JD Andress believes the Blue Jays were done dirty by the call.<\/p>\n

The play put runners on second and third instead of allowing both to score \u2014 or at least one. After the ordeal, Tyler Glasnow came in and slammed the door.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoberts correctly, with his team’s back against the proverbial wall, made the move. Glasnow miraculously escaped with a pop up and line-drive double play in just three pitches,\u201d CBS Sports\u2019 Matt Snyder wrote.<\/a><\/p>\n

That lodged-ball call could become the Blue Jays\u2019 worst nightmare if the Dodgers go on to win the World Series. While much is still to be seen, this moment might go down as one of the most questionable calls in World Series history.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s still plenty of baseball left to play, but the Blue Jays might have had some magic brewing if that call had gone differently. Many believe it should never have been ruled the way it was.<\/p>\n
