Social media is abuzz about a moment that happened between JD Vance<\/a> and Erika Kirk<\/a> at a Turning Point USA event this week.<\/p>\n

The Vice President of the United States was a guest speaker at the organization\u2019s event at the University of Mississippi on Wednesday (October 29) in Oxford, Miss. <\/p>\n

Erika, who became the CEO of Turning Point after the death of her husband Charlie Kirk<\/a>, introduced Vance to the stage. The event took place seven weeks after the right-wing podcaster was killed. <\/p>\n

After Erika introduced JD, they shared an embrace that has been getting a lot of attention.<\/p>\n

Erika was seen placing her hand on JD\u2018s head, with her fingers resting on his hair, while JD had his hands on Erika\u2018s back and torso. See the clip here<\/a>. <\/p>\n

She said during the intro, \u201cWhen our team asked my dear friend, Vice President JD Vance, to speak today, I really prayed on it, because obviously it\u2019s a very emotional, emotional day. But I could just hear Charlie in my heart. I could just hear him say, \u2018Go reclaim that territory, babe. Go. The battle\u2019s already won. God\u2019s love conquers.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Erika added, \u201cNo one will ever replace my husband. But I do see some similarities of my husband in JD, in Vice President JD Vance. I do. And that\u2019s why I am so blessed to be able to introduce him tonight.\u201d <\/p>\n

Many on social media are commenting on the intimate nature of the embrace, with JD\u2018s wife Usha Vance<\/a> also in attendance at the event. <\/p>\n
