ROCHESTER, N.Y. \u2013 The RIT women’s soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a dominant 4-0 victory over Skidmore in the regular season finale, Saturday. With the win, the Tigers secured the third seed in the upcoming Liberty League Tournament.

\nBefore the game, the team recognized six seniors in a pre-game ceremony.

\nHOW IT HAPPENED<\/p>\n


\n\tSenior midfielder Bella Coccio<\/a> opened the scoring in the 14th minute, stealing the ball from a defender at the top of the penalty box and finishing for her third goal of the season.
\n\tElena Onodera<\/a>, a senior forward, converted a penalty kick in the 48th minute to double the Tigers’ lead.
\n\tSophomore forward Amerie Mills<\/a> added a third goal in the 64th minute, finishing a loose ball in front of the goal.
\n\tJunior midfielder Emma Pedro<\/a> capped the scoring in the 76th minute with a one-time shot off a deflection from the Skidmore goalkeeper. <\/p>\n

\n\tRIT outshot Skidmore 22-to-5, including an 11-to-3 advantage in shots on goal.
\n\tSenior goalkeeper Emily Sanchez<\/a> made three saves to earn the shutout.
\n\tThe Tigers held an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.
\n\tThe win secured a 5-3-1 Liberty League record and an 8-3-6 overall record for RIT heading into postseason play. <\/p>\n
