The Miami Dolphins are willing to listen to trade offers for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“Sources say the Dolphins would at least consider dealing Waddle,” Rapoport reported Saturday. “It would be expensive, as young stars in their prime are, but not off the table. Something would have to blow the doors off for them to deal him. But, at least, GMs aren’t being pushed to voicemail, metaphorically.”<\/p>\n

The Dolphins parted ways<\/a> with general manager Chris Grier on Friday. <\/p>\n

Opposing general managers felt Grier “had little interest in engaging” in trade discussions prior to his exit, per Rapoport.<\/p>\n

It’s also worth noting that the Dolphins fell to 2-7 on the season with a lopsided 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, which could cause the team to focus on building towards the future ahead of the trade deadline.<\/p>\n

It would still be a surprise to see Miami move Waddle, as he was\u00a0handed<\/a>\u00a0a three-year extension worth $84.75 million during the 2024 offseason.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old has also remained a key piece of the Dolphins’ passing attack throughout his tenure with the organization, surpassing the 1,000-yard threshold in three of the first four years of his career.<\/p>\n

This season, Waddle has hauled in 41 receptions for 586 yards and four touchdowns in nine games.<\/p>\n

He’s stepped up in the wake of Tyreek Hill’s\u00a0dislocated knee<\/a>, recording 401 yards on 24 catches across five games without Hill.<\/p>\n

Several teams will likely be interested in Waddle’s availability, with SNY’s\u00a0Connor Hughes<\/a>\u00a0previously listing the New York Giants as a team targeting the former first-round pick.<\/p>\n
