The Ravens shipped two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander up to Philadelphia on Saturday, the Eagles confirmed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Baltimore traded Alexander and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.<\/p>\n

After signing a one-year contract for $6 million with the Ravens<\/a> back in June, Alexander graced the field for Baltimore just twice this season.<\/p>\n

Prior to his stint in Baltimore, Alexander spent eight seasons with the Packers, who drafted the cornerback with the No. 18 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

During his time in Green Bay, Alexander, 28, made it to the Pro Bowl twice (2020, \u201922) while also earning All-Pro second team honors those same seasons.<\/p>\n

The Eagles are searching for pieces to bolster their defense to close out the season, with the team trading for Jets cornerback Michael Carter II<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Saturday swap comes just two days after the Ravens posted a commanding 28-6 bounce-back win over the Dolphins on Thursday, lifting them to a 3-5 record on the year. It marked their second straight win, with the Ravens besting the Bears on Oct. 26.<\/p>\n

Those back-to-back wins for the Ravens came after four straight grueling losses, two of which were in the absence of superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was battling a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

When Jackson was rehabbing, the Ravens violated the NFL\u2019s injury report policy by listing the former MVP as a \u201cfull participant\u201d during last Friday\u2019s practice before Week 8\u2019s win, despite him doing reps with the scout team.<\/p>\n

The league fined Baltimore $100,000<\/a> for its blunder, saying that the team did so out of \u201cnegligence\u201d and \u201cnot an attempt to gain a competitive advantage,\u201d\u00a0per ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Baltimore fully complied with the NFL\u2019s investigation, saying in a statement that the team made an \u201cerror.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is critical that the Baltimore Ravens always operate with integrity and in full accordance with NFL guidelines,\u201d the statement read. \u201cWe clearly made an error regarding player injury reporting and cooperated transparently with the league\u2019s investigation. <\/p>\n
