Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed that he has met with seven-time Formula 1<\/a> world champion Lewis Hamilton<\/a><\/a> to discuss ideas for a sequel to F1<\/a>: The Movie.”We met with Lewis Hamilton a couple of weeks ago, and started talking about some ideas.”- Jerry Bruckheimer<\/p>\n

The film, released in June, has grossed around $630 million worldwide and is Apple Studios’ highest-grossing film to date.<\/p>\n

F1: The Movie also had an all-star lineup of actors, with Brad Pitt and Damson Idris playing the drivers for the fictional APXGP team.<\/p>\n

The film’s producer, Bruckheimer, told Forbes that he had met with Hamilton: “We met with Lewis Hamilton a couple of weeks ago, and started talking about some ideas. <\/p>\n

“We’re in London right now, and we’ve screened the movie twice every night for the last three nights. We have the audience in there, and the first question I ask them is, ‘How many of you have not seen this movie? <\/p>\n

“80% of the hands go up, and it’s unbelievable. The other 20% have seen it several times. People that haven’t seen it say, ‘Oh, it’s not my kind of movie.’ It is your kind of movie. It’s emotional, fun, and it’s a great night out at the theatre.”<\/p>\n

Hamilton was a key part of the movie during production, serving as an executive producer and even playing a cameo role on screen.<\/p>\n

The Ferrari<\/a> driver explained earlier this year that there is no need to make any snap decisions<\/a> on a second movie.<\/p>\n

He told GPblog and others in July: “Most sequels are way worse, and so we don’t need to rush it. I think if we do do a sequel, I would say let’s really, really take our time in getting it even better.”<\/p>\n

Hamilton has had a difficult first year with FerrariHamilton made the switch to Ferrari<\/a> this season after 12 years at Mercedes but the 40-year-old is yet to score a podium<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Briton did have a brief upturn in form during the second round of the season in China, winning the Sprint.<\/p>\n

Despite this success, he is 64 points behind teammate Charles Leclerc as Ferrari haven’t yet won a Grand Prix in 2025.<\/p>\n
