Famke Janssen says Marvel has never invited her back to play Jean Grey.<\/p>\n
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, the \u201cX-Men\u201d star discussed her Fox-era Marvel role, or rather, discussed how she is constantly asked to discuss it. She explained that \u201cevery time\u201d she does an interview, Jean Grey is brought up.<\/p>\n More from Variety<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s interesting,\u201d Janssen said. \u201cI didn\u2019t realize that was such a big part. Every interview I do, that will come up, and of everything I say, that is going to be the only thing that\u2019s gonna be printed.\u201d<\/p>\n Janssen first appeared as Jean Grey, aka Phoenix, in 2000\u2019s \u201cX-Men,\u201d and then reprised the role in 2003\u2019s \u201cX2: X-Men United\u201d and 2006\u2019s \u201cX-Men: The Last Stand.\u201d She also briefly appeared in the role in 2013\u2019s \u201cThe Wolverine\u201d and 2014\u2019s \u201cX-Men: Days of Future Past.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI should be flattered, I suppose, that this character has resonated with people,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s been so long, but it\u2019s nice that people are still talking about her. I\u2019m sure every single time there\u2019s a new movie that they\u2019re doing, like [is it] \u2018Doomsday?\u2019 \u2026 it\u2019ll come up again.\u201d<\/p>\n An \u201cX-Men\u201d reboot from the Marvel camp is currently in development with \u201cThunderbolts*\u201d director Jake Schreier at the helm.
