Felix Auger-Aliassime has reached his second ATP Masters 1000 final in Paris after defeating Alexander Bublik in straight sets.<\/p>\n

The Canadian took the first set against the Kazakh star in a tiebreak, and came back from 4-1 down in the second set to emerge victorious 7-6, 6-4. <\/p>\n

Auger-Aliassime<\/a>, ranked 10th in the world currently, is now one win away from both a maiden Masters 1000 title and ATP Finals<\/a> qualification. <\/p>\n

Following Lorenzo Musetti\u2019s early exit at the Paris Masters<\/a>, he was able to close in on the eighth and final spot for the year-end tournament in Turin. <\/p>\n

With his triumph over Bublik<\/a>, Auger-Aliassime has just achieved something not managed on the ATP<\/a> Tour in nearly a decade.<\/p>\n

Felix Auger-Aliassime achieves incredible feat at the Paris Masters<\/p>\n

The last time Auger-Aliassime made the final of an ATP Masters 1000 event was at the Madrid Open during the 2024 season. <\/p>\n

His appearance in the title bout of the Paris Masters will see him become the first non-European player to reach Masters finals on multiple surfaces since Kei Nishikori<\/a> in 2016.<\/p>\n

That year, Nishikori reached the final of both the Miami Open and the Canadian Open, as well as making the semifinals in Madrid and Rome. <\/p>\n

Auger-Aliassime has had an up-and-down Masters series this year, failing to make it past the third round in his first five appearances at the level in 2025.<\/p>\n

He did, however, reach the quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Open and the Shanghai Masters, and now he will have the chance to fight for the title in Paris. <\/p>\n

Speaking on Sky Sports<\/a> after the match, former British tennis player Naomi Broady said: \u201cWhat a run he [Auger-Aliassime] is on, a fairytale if he\u2019s able to qualify.<\/p>\n

\u201cPoor [Lorenzo] Musetti must just be sitting at home. Musetti said last week, it\u2019s a dream that\u2019s turned into a nightmare, trying to qualify for Turin.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said he\u2019s played every week since Wimbledon; he hasn\u2019t been able to stop, because the likes of Felix have been hot on his heels.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s going to be praying that Felix doesn\u2019t win the final tomorrow, because otherwise it\u2019s Felix who is going to have qualified, Musetti will have to be there as an alternate.\u201d<\/p>\n
