Indiana finally logged its first win.<\/p>\n
Pascal Siakam<\/a> scored 27 points and buried the go-ahead three with 37 seconds left as the Pacers beat the Warriors 114-109 on Saturday in Indianapolis. That put Indiana at 1-5. Golden State dropped to 4-3.<\/p>\n Aaron Nesmith<\/a> scored 31. Quenton Jackson<\/a> had a career-high 25 points and 10 assists. Jackson scored 12 of those points in the fourth quarter and hit the three that put Indiana up 109-107 with 1:09 left, then iced it with a pull-up with 5.2 seconds remaining.<\/p>\n Stephen Curry<\/a> led the Warriors with 24. Jimmy Butler<\/a> scored 20 and Jonathan Kuminga<\/a> added 17.<\/p>\n Indiana trailed by 11 in the fourth. Then Siakam and Jackson closed it.<\/p>\n Rockets<\/p>\n Houston (3-2) delivered its best defensive performance of the young season in a 128-101 win at Boston, per Ben DuBose of Rockets Wire<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Rockets entered ranked No. 1 in offense and No. 19 in defense. They looked more like the group that was top-five defensively last year. They held the Celtics to just 72 points through three quarters. Jabari Smith Jr.<\/a> blocked four shots in those opening three periods.<\/p>\n Boston leads the NBA in threes per game and hit 21 in its blowout over Cleveland. Houston held the Celtics to 10-of-30 from deep during the competitive portion of Saturday\u2019s game. Josh Okogie<\/a>, Amen Thompson<\/a> and Tari Eason<\/a> led the perimeter work. Smith and Alperen Sengun<\/a> anchored the back line.<\/p>\n Kevin Durant<\/a> scored 26. Houston made 19-of-29 threes. They are No. 1 in the NBA at 45.4 percent from deep.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we\u2019re clicking on all cylinders like that, we\u2019re tough to stop,\u201d Durant told reporters.<\/p>\n The Rockets host Dallas on Monday.<\/p>\n Heat<\/p>\n Norman Powell<\/a> is only weeks into his Miami stay and he is already thinking long-term.<\/p>\n \u201cI love it here,\u201d Powell said, via Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald<\/a>. \u201cIt fits who I am. I like the culture. I like the mentality. I like being around people that have high aspirations. So I want to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n The Heat feel like a stylistic match.
