World No. 82 Janice Tjen beat Kimberly Birrell, 117th in the women\u2019s singles tennis rankings<\/a>, 6-4, 6-3 in two hours and one minute.<\/p>\n Fourth seed Janice Tjen broke seventh-seeded Kimberly Birrell\u2019s serve in the opening game of the first set. Kimberly Birrell had numerous opportunities to break back, including a marathon fourth before finally managing to draw level in the sixth game.<\/p>\n However, Janice Tjen broke Kimberly Birrell\u2019s serve once again in the very next game and went on to hold her serve as she closed out the first set.<\/p>\n The second set saw Janice Tjen break the Australian in the first and third game before losing her serve in the sixth. The Indonesian tennis<\/a> player, though, broke Kimberly Birrell in the ninth game again to win the final in straight sets.<\/p>\n This was the second singles WTA title for the 23-year-old Janice Tjen.
