\n\tAfter premiering Die My Love<\/a> at Cannes earlier this year, Jennifer Lawrence<\/a> and Robert Pattinson<\/a> brought their psychological drama to New York on Saturday \u2014 along with their signature teasing of each other. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn the film<\/a>, the pair star as young couple Grace and Jackson, who move from New York City to Jackson\u2019s hometown in Montana and become parents<\/a>, as Grace struggles to maintain her sanity after giving birth. The film features some serious fights<\/a> between the two actors, which Lawrence told The Hollywood Reporter is easy to turn on and off and \u201csometimes fight scenes, the crazier they get, the funnier they get. So there were even times where we were supposed to be fighting in the movie and you can see us laughing and [director] Lynne [Ramsay] just like kept it. Fighting with somebody who you get along with is fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLawrence and Pattinson did encounter some differences in their creative collaboration, though, as Lawrence joked how \u201cRob is really bad at memorizing and I\u2019m really good at memorizing, so our processes were very different. He would labor over trying to memorize something \u2014 and he would always show up and do it, I never saw him like flub a line. But he would always be really stressed out that I didn\u2019t know what we were doing and then he\u2019s like, \u2018This is gonna take forever,\u2019 and I\u2019m like, \u2018No, I have a memory, unlike you.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPattinson, for his part, said that to get into a film like this, \u201cLiterally I can\u2019t do anything else \u2014 I have to stay home, I have to literally be the most boring person in the world and treat my brain like it\u2019s a fragile endangered species. That\u2019s the only way I can do these things anymore.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tLaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte and Sissy Spacek<\/a> co-star in the project \u2014 with Martin Scorsese serving as a producer \u2014 as the latter plays Pattinson\u2019s mother. Spacek joked, \u201cHe\u2019s such a darling son and he called me Mom, I loved it. He was just great. Both he and Jennifer have these senses of humor so they kept us laughing and crying.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAnd as her character plunges deeper into psychosis, Lawrence \u2014 who also produced the film \u2014 said the role \u201cwas really fun. You don\u2019t often get to live intrusive thoughts out loud and so it\u2019s fun to get to play somebody like that, and like what if I go into the bathroom and just destroy everything? It was actually kind of a rush.\u201d <\/p>\n
