{"id":260455,"date":"2025-11-04T06:20:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T06:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/260455\/"},"modified":"2025-11-04T06:20:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T06:20:15","slug":"toronto-blue-jays-wags-reflect-on-2025-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/260455\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto Blue Jays WAGs reflect on 2025 season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The wives and girlfriends\u2014also known as WAGs\u2014of Toronto Blue Jays players are reflecting on the season that was, following a heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Taking to their Instagram accounts, many of the WAGs looked back on what they called a \u201cspecial\u201d season, and remarked on how spending 180 games with each other brought them close like a \u201cfamily.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Others, whose husbands or boyfriends joined the team later in the season, praised the organization and those within it for being \u201cwelcoming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cFor me, this is a story of falling in love with baseball again &#8211; the team, the women, the players, the fans, the staff, all of it,\u201d posted Kara Bieber, wife of Blue Jays starting pitcher Shane Bieber.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019d be lying if I said the outcome doesn\u2019t hurt, but I can\u2019t help but feel so proud of my husband and his teammates,\u201d she continued. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ll never forget how Shane and I would be almost giddy after games, just talking about how lucky we felt to be surrounded by such incredible humans. I\u2019d tell him how amazing the women were, and he\u2019d smile and say the same about the guys. We felt so welcomed from the moment we got to Canada. It\u2019s something we\u2019ll cherish forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Similar sentiments were shared by Maggie France, wife of first baseman Ty France who joined the Jays organization at the trade deadline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">She praised the Blue Jays and the city of Toronto for welcoming their family with \u201copen arms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cAn unexpected mid-season trade landed us with the most incredible organization a few months back and I can\u2019t help but be so grateful for our time here,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/magdalenaraee\/p\/DQkX947EY9z\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/magdalenaraee\/p\/DQkX947EY9z\/\">wrote on Instagram<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThe city, the organization, the friends that already feel like family, I am beyond grateful for it all. Thank you for welcoming the France Fam with open arms Toronto. We\u2019ll hold this season close to our hearts forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The wife of reliever Louis Varland, who also joined the Jays at the trade deadline, echoed those comments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cFrom the moment Louie got traded to the Blue Jays, he told me that the culture felt different,\u201d wrote Maddie Varland. \u201cThis was the craziest, most stressful yet most rewarding ride that baseball has brought us on so far. This team and the girls were one of a kind. Every person welcomed us with open arms and treated us like we were family from the start, and I\u2019m so happy that we were able to be part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Charlise Springer, wife of designated hitter George Springer, took to her Instagram account to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/charlisespringer\/p\/DQkqhwGkTPf\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/charlisespringer\/p\/DQkqhwGkTPf\/?img_index=1\">share numerous photos<\/a> of her and the other WAGs watching games from the stands and spending time with each other, commenting on the \u201cmemories\u201d they shared together over the course of the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cBaseball doesn\u2019t promise fairytale endings, but it gives you people and moments that last a lifetime,\u201d she wrote. \u201cFeeling nothing but gratitude for the chance to represent Canada\u2019s team and be part of something so special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Starting pitcher Kevin Gausman\u2019s wife, Taylor, reiterated Charlise\u2019s comments about being proud to represent as Canada\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThank you to everyone who has supported us from the beginning, we are so grateful to have the opportunity to even be here and represent Canada\u2019s team,\u201d Taylor captioned part of her post. \u201cIt has been a beyond fun ride and although I\u2019m sad it didn\u2019t turn out the way we wanted, it still doesn\u2019t take away how proud I am of what this team has accomplished this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">She also noted that she was \u201cproud\u201d of her husband, to be a part of the Blue Jays and \u201call the guys and the amazing women behind them,\u201d and added that she thinks the Blue Jays will \u201calways be the better team on and off the field.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Relief pitcher Brendon Little\u2019s wife, Emily, posted her thoughts about the historic season for the Jays squad and praised the team for being \u201cgenuinely good people\u201d as well as celebrated her fellow WAGs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s rare to find a group of guys like this, and to have an equally amazing group of women by their side is even rarer,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/emilylittlefitness\/p\/DQj5V5qkT7n\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/emilylittlefitness\/p\/DQj5V5qkT7n\/\">captioned her post<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cBaseball is funny like that\u2026 you never get the same exact team twice. But something about this group was special.
