After getting back into the winner\u2019s circle this past April, Randy Brown is on a mission to reenter the UFC welterweight rankings with an impressive outing at the Apex Center<\/p>\n

Randy Brown Collides with Brazilian Prospect in UFC Vegas 110 Main Event<\/p>\n

Netting a stellar knockout out win over standout fighter Nicolas Dalby in his last excursion to the Octagon (making it the first loss by strikes of the Dane\u2019s professional career), Randy Brown returns to the spotlight once more. <\/p>\n

Although the setting of his second bout of 2025 will have less audience members in attendance this time around, the level of competition he will be facing will still remain fierce for Randy Brown. Standing across from him in the cage in the headlining contest will be the highly-touted UFC welterweight up-and-comer Gabriel Bonfim<\/a>, who also is participating in his first top-billed contest in the promotion.<\/p>\n

Sizing up Gabriel Bonfim Ahead of Randy Brown Fight Saturday Night<\/p>\n

Earning his contract with the organization in 2022 with a sensational Von Flue choke over future Legacy Fighting Alliance champion Trey Waters on the Contender Series, Bonfim impressed in spades in his debut. Facing off with Mounir Lazzez<\/a> at UFC 283, \u201cMarretinha\u201d sent the native Brazilian crowd into a frenzy by choking out the Tunisian in just 49 seconds. His next tilt went slightly longer at one minute and thirteen second, but Bonfim was still able to submit the veteran Trevin Giles<\/a>, cementing his status as a true prospect in the UFC\u2019s welterweight division.

It was in his third match that he encountered his first real taste of adversity in his tenure with the promotion, ironically enough against the aforementioned Dalby, who weathered a big early storm from Bonfim. Taking advantage of his younger foes fleeting gas tank, the previous Cage Warriors title-holder stopped the streaking prospect in the second round.\u00a0

The defeat didn\u2019t do much to halt Bonfim, however, as the Brazilian has since rebounded in tremendous fashion with three straight wins over Ange Loosa, Khaos Williams<\/a>, and, most recently, Stephen Thompson<\/a>. The Williams triumph in particular stands out the most, as it became the sole finish loss of the American\u2019s then 19-fight career at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Randy Brown Was Part of Cream of Crop at Welterweight<\/p>\n

While the surging Bonfim has made himself a star competitor at 170-lb, Randy Brown<\/a> has paid his dues fighting some of the best fighters in the world for nearly a decade like Belal Muhammad<\/a> and Jack Della Maddalena<\/a>. Making his debut in the organization in 2016, \u201cRude Boy\u201d has recorded 20 contests under the biggest mixed martial arts entity in the sport, which is more than the amount of professional bouts that Bonfim has on his record at the moment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He had also almost cracked the top ten of the UFC welterweight class at one point, with his highest ranking coming at number 12. This experience as a contender makes Brown a dangerous adversary for anyone he faces in the Octagon.
