{"id":262640,"date":"2025-11-05T05:18:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T05:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/262640\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T05:18:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T05:18:14","slug":"despite-home-team-not-appearing-grey-cup-game-in-winnipeg-is-sold-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/262640\/","title":{"rendered":"Despite home team not appearing, Grey Cup game in Winnipeg is sold out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2025 Grey Cup game is officially a sellout.<\/p>\n<p>The CFL and Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Tuesday the game, which will be played Nov. 16 at Winnipeg&#8217;s Princess Auto Stadium, has been sold out.<\/p>\n<p>The release also said most of the festival events leading up to the game, including the CFL awards, are at capacity. <\/p>\n<p>The CFL has enjoyed success at the gate in Winnipeg this year, with the Blue Bombers selling out every home game in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Bombers won&#8217;t be part of the action on the field.<\/p>\n<p>Their streak of five straight Grey Cup appearances ended with a 42-33 loss at Montreal in last week&#8217;s East Division semifinal.<\/p>\n<p>The participants in the 112th Grey Cup will be decided Saturday, when Hamilton hosts Montreal in the East Division final and Saskatchewan welcomes B.C. in the West final.<\/p>\n<p>Wade Miller, the Bombers&#8217; president and CEO, said in the release that the energy and excitement seen from Canadian fans have made this year&#8217;s Grey Cup festivals one of the most anticipated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The 2025 Grey Cup game is officially a sellout.
