Fans are so obsessulated with Ariana Grande that if she can\u2019t make it to a premiere, they\u2019re wishing harmulation upon her. At least that\u2019s according to an Instagram Story by Grande from earlier today. Grande won\u2019t be attending the S\u00e3o Paulo premiere of Wicked: For Good<\/a> due to plane issues, and she is asking fans to channel their inner-Glinda and not \u201cwish danger on us\u201d for missing the festivities.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease don\u2019t wish danger on us,\u201d Grande wrote on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cWe did everything we could, and I promise you no one is more upset than I am, I promise. No matter how upset or disappointed you are, please, please do not wish danger on us or assume that we didn\u2019t try. There was no other time for me to leave, and these plans have been booked for months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grande assures fans that she is disappointed by the situation as she has \u201cbeen looking forward to this moment for a year.\u201d In a follow-up post, she upgraded her sadness to \u201cbeyond devastated,\u201d stating that she would not be making it to S\u00e3o Paulo until after the premiere. \u201cMy team and Universal have tried every single thing possible to fix this, we\u2019ve searched every other flight, overnight, early morning, connecting flights, commercial and also private options and absolutely nothing was available or possible that would get us there in time. Even in attempting a private option, there is a permit necessary in order to fly from here that takes time to attain.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the second message, she further detailed how sorry she was for her absence and how hard she\u2019s been working. After explaining that she \u201cwrapped another film on the 31st,\u201d Grande says an issue with her flight forced her to deplane. The other film was Focker-In-Law, which isn\u2019t going to make the anti-male nurse contingent of her fanbase happy. (Don\u2019t get them started on which animals can be milked.) Nevertheless, she explains that because the plane had a \u201csafety problem,\u201d she had to find a different flight to Brazil. Also, she\u2019s been working really hard, so maybe cut her some slack, okay? \u201cI worked all day the 1st and the 2nd as well, just the same as Jonny [Bailey], Cyn[thia Erivo], and Jon [M. Chu] have been working,\u201d she writes. \u201cWe all were scheduled to leave the same day. It just so happened that this plane had a safety problem.\u201d<\/p>\n
